There is a traditional pattern according to the history that has been discovered for over 50 designs. The main motif is unique.
- Kalong flower pattern:  Caused by modification of flower petals or leaves to have a figure like a crow, called Ka Long or Kalong flower. By referring to the legend of Mae Phaya Ka Taro who lost her way from living in Wiang Kalong

- The pattern used as a high-class integration, like the Kata Restoration pattern

The distinctive feature of Wiang Ka Long pottery is the use of "black clay" that has a fine texture of clay and a light texture. Because the soil quality is high, it is assumed that the age is not less than 1,000 years and the only one in Thailand. Clay Dam has special features that no other clay pottery source has. When burned, it will cause cracks on the container. Is an outstanding design that does not rely on any design for the process of making Wiang Kalong pottery. The black soil was brought into shape and then burned at a temperature of 800 degrees Celsius and then painted with natural mineral colors, and then moistened with water to be coated before being burned again at 1,200 degrees Celsius until the process is completed, the pottery will retain the artistic beauty and uniqueness.
